A Busy Morning Post

I have several pages open in my word processor at the moment. One has notes I am taking for class, three of them are assignments due in class this week, one is a story I am writing, and I have added to each one this morning. Between writing, I have read some out of my textbook, ate toast, drank coffee, got my daughters out of bed, and saw my husband off to the airport—not necessarily in that order, though. LOL My body is telling me to go back to bed once the girls are off to school. I believe I might listen to it.

I am thankful for my microwave this morning. It warmed up my cooled coffee. I am also thankful for smart phones, screen readers, and the ability to type. Most of all, I am thankful for prayer, my lifeline to the only Miracle Worker, Way Maker, Promise Keeper, my Light in the darkness.

“The LORD is my shepherd; I shall not want” (Psalms 23:1 KJV).

I feel like a sheep sometimes. I’m glad I have the Good Shepherd leading me. Left up to my own decision-making skills, I’d stray. But, His rod and staff are a comfort to me; he will pull me back into the fold and correct me if needed. I can hear His voice, and all I got to do is follow. He knows me, and I know Him. Praise His name.

The girls just left for school. Both are in the National Technical Honor Society, one as a graphic designer and the other in cosmetology. I am blessed to be called their mom. The wind chimes are ringing on the porch, and I think it’s nap time. After all, 3:30 came early this morning.
