Book Update: I Did A Thing

“You Belong to Me” has a second edition.

Sometimes, things happen that are out of our control. This last spring, one of those things happened to me. My publisher, Pen It Publications who published both “You Belong to Me” and my children’s book, “Windy Blabs and His Bad Mouth” canceled all contracts with all their authors. This became effective June 30, 2024. So, I published Miss Mercy’s story again, this time independently.

What does this mean for you? Simply put, when you purchase a paperback copy or an ebook copy for kindle, I get a lot more of the royalties than before.

What does this mean for me? Work. LOL “You Belong to Me” was relatively easy. I asked my friend to help me upload it to Kindle Direct Publishing. We rewrote the backcover blurb, tinkered with the wording of the author bio, and changed the name of the publisher.

Both the kindle version and the paperback version are now available on Amazon. It will take a few more days for me to update the info here on my website, so please be patient.

Here is the new blurb:

This Christian romance is set in 1700s Virginia. The feisty Miss Mercy steps out of conventional expectations and buys herself a servant – a preacher who was captured by pirates. The struggle between being a servant of the living God and submitting to Miss Mercy is one Gabriel Mckenzie never expected to encounter. It will take relying on God’s strength rather than his own to remember who belongs to whom as Mercy fights for her land and Gabriel fights for her.
