Where did the summer go? Today I kept my windows open to a cool breeze that is very welcome. Temperatures were in the 60’s here in my part of West Virginia, and I am loving it.
The last time you heard from me I told you about publishing a second edition of one of my books, “You Belong to Me.” Before that, I was posting copies of papers I wrote for a couple of classes I took, “Theology I and II.”So, I guess it has been a while since I posted anything about my personal life. Sorry about that. 🙂
Right now I am at the beginning of week three of a class called Christian Preaching I. I think it is my seventeenth class. When it is over, I’ll have eight more to go. As the title suggests, it’s about Christian preaching. Basically, they help you learn to outline a sermon. I thought I knew how, but I am appreciating the public speaking tips. I have to write and preach a sermon for the class, and today I wrote the introduction. It sounds great, thanks to the Lord, but I know I’ll have to fix it up a bit.
My girls are doing well. One is taking baking and multimedia publishing. The other is busy starting her business as a cosmetologist. They are my joy. ❤
As far as bookish news, I am working on a brand new story. Sometimes I write a couple thousand words a day. Sometimes, I write nothing all week. Class work comes first, but sometimes, the Lord surprises me. He is so good that way. I’ll be thinking I’m never going to create another good story again, and then He gives me a line or two, and all of a sudden, I have a chapter.
At the time of writing, hurricane Milton has one hundred eighty mile an hour winds, and the entire state of Florida is expected to get some part of the storm. Clean up is still happening after hurricane Helene, and folks are still donating and trying to help with the disaster in North Carolina. We’re supposed to elect a new president in a little less than a month. If there was ever a time to be looking toward Heaven, it is now. Amen?
Mondays can sometimes go sideways on me, but this one manage to keep on track. I’m thinking of ending it with a tall glass of chocolate milk and maybe something to read. The trouble is, I want to read my story. Of course, I can’t, because I haven’t written it yet. LOL So, here I am doing research for my story, doing research for my sermon, writing a sermon, writing a story, and performing my slavely duties to my grumbling cat who wants her ears scratched. Sigh. 🙂
Blessings to you all, and remember Jesus loves you.
