So, you want to know more about me? Well, you’ve come to the right place.
I was born in West Virginia, and I still live here with my husband of 23 years and our 2 daughters. Born with glaucoma, cataracts, and scar tissue, I have always been blind, but until I was 21, I did have enough vision to see lights, colors, and some shadows. In the summer of 2000, I lost my remaining vision. When I asked God why, He said, “That I may know him, and the power of his resurrection, and the fellowship of his sufferings.” (Philippians 3:10, KJV).
As a mom of 2 girls who can see, I’ve learned a lot. We started homeschooling in the fall of 2010, and my oldest is graduating in May of 2023. My youngest has 3 more years to go. It hasn’t been easy, but with God’s help, we’re making it. I’ve blogged a lot about my experiences, and you can start reading about it at http://sjwellsauthor.blogspot.com/2016/09/keep-on.html

As if homeschooling hasn’t been enough to keep me busy, I have written 6 novels and a children’s book. All are listed on this site. Just go to the menu, and you’ll find them.
Then, to complicate everything, I started taking classes in May of 2021. The Lord has called me to preach, and in order to be ordained someday, I have to complete a rigorous set of college classes.
I had to write a couple of exegisises (papers on passages of Scripture) for class, and I put one of them on my blog at http://sjwellsauthor.blogspot.com/2022/11/jacobs-marriage-to-leah-and-rachel.html
In my free time I like to read, listen to music, crochet, bake, and spend time with my family. We like going to the movies together or just watching tv at home. I play the piano and enjoy singing. My life verse is “I can do all things through Christ which strengtheneth me.” (Philippians 4:13 KJV).
Well, that’s about it. If you have a question or comment, or if you just want to say hi, use the contact form on this site.
